Port Macquarie Game Fishing Club Inc

The Port Macquarie Game Fishing Club has 103 members and was established in 1971 and holds regular game fishing competitions.

The jewel in the Club’s crown is the annual Golden Lure Game Fishing Competition held in January each year attracting more than one hundred and fifty competitors from all over Australia.

Part of the Tournament activities is our Ladies and Juniors Charity Day which has raised proceeds for the Port Macquarie Base Hospital Oncology Unit and Give me Five for Kids.

Junior anglers are also catered for with an on shore angling event day. In past years the Game Fishing Club has also made substantial financial donations to the Port Macquarie Sea Rescue Group.

The Golden Lure has been running for 30 years. Prior to this the Club ran the ‘New Year Open Invitation Tournament’ for many years.
